“Commercial Properties from a Tenants Perspective”
The philosophy and mission behind Prairie Park Property is best explained from the perception of our owner:
"As an owner of multiple businesses, I had the not uncommon experience of difficult landlords. I had always negotiated in good faith, I had never once ever (in 20+ years) been late with a monthly payment and I had, at my own expense, spent thousands and thousands of dollars upgrading leased space so that my staff had great confines within which to work. It was my experience that none of these things were ever appreciated. When a small problem would arise, for example a toilet that needed to be replaced, the landlord for that property simply stated “That’s your problem, fix it or don’t, I don’t care.” This was a fixed item, something that I thought it was reasonable to think would be repaired or replaced by the landlord as that toilet was staying when I left, no matter what.
That was the day I decided to become my own landlord. That led to our first building and our first long-term tenant. That relationship continues to this day. When they have a problem, we talk and decide whose responsibility it should be, and we fix the problem. It’s not difficult. With that and similar experiences, Prairie Park Property was created and has flourished ever since 2008. We will always be a respectful landlord and our properties will always be clean, modern and well taken care of."
